PORTFOLIO

At Kennedy Cole Interior Design, we believe that intentional design inspires effortless living. Each space we touch is an elevated reflection of the lives lived there.

Function and style are maximized in the kitchen. We kept the size but upped the function and infused personality throughout making it a more casual and comfortable - but still very fun - space for our clients. The white cabinetry features a hint of gray in the undertones, extends a little into the breakfast nook and provides just enough room for shelving and display storage up above. We brought in the touches of gold our clients love through gold in lay pieces in the backsplash tile, hardware and the faucet. Café appliances blend everything together while the range is sleek and features a plaster finish.

This beautiful 1960s ranch style home, its timeless green shutters and red brick as true and traditional as this quaint town, underwent a full remodel that modernized the look but maintained the charm. The previous owner’s had taken such great care of this space, raising their family there for decades, adding to it slowly over the years. When it was finally time to sell, our clients, a young and growing family from the Bay Area were the lucky pick of bio writers and picture senders who won the chance to make this their new home and we are as honored to be the ones who re envisioned it for them.

In a beautiful mellow neighborhood in the south county hills, our clients reached out to us after some unfortunate water damage prompted a remodel. Originally from New York, our clients found, loved and got comfortable in this home for a few years, considering the best ways to update it until the time came. Fully dressed with ornate carvings and curvaceous wrought iron railings, we were asked to come in and create thoughtful updates that would modernize the space while keeping its tuscan charm.

Our clients had been looking for land in the Covina Hills to purchase so that we could build their forever home, but while touring they found this amazing cliffside property overlooking the best parts of Los Angeles. They put the build-from-scratch dream on hold so that they could start a foundation while they worked to grow their family and this beautiful Spanish style home was the answer! We came in to update each room and make this their authentic home.

While on a visit to their favorite aunt's house prompted a conversation about moving, our clients lucked up! When a joke or two came up about keeping the house in the family, our clients wound up closing on the home of their dreams, one that had been a part of their lives all along. We came in to assist with a major addition to create a new kitchen and expand the great room, and to put an emphasis on the young family’s need for space, growth and fun. What was once a quaint family home has become a beautiful and expansive generational home for our clients.

Following the tragic loss of his mother, our eclectic client set out to make his family home a beautiful reflection of his colorful life. Adorned with vignettes of tribute to his parents, we curated a calm and serene space that highlights his travels, while honoring the past with true vintage pieces and refined keepsakes that help to blend midcentury with the rest of the world.

While we love to develop an aesthetic with our clients, we also love when we meet clients that have a clear vision for their home – a base point for us aesthetically, that is unmoving, non-negotiable, and yet, we can still provide insight on how to enhance those goals and bring them to life. A clear expectation, with the room for us to still exceed them. That is the story of our Turtle Ridge Project. The vision: Black and White. That was it. They wanted everything in their house to be some shade of white, black or gray throughout with metallic accents, but no pops of color and we were prepared to make it happen.
