Up next on our tour is the Kenwood Estates Great Room. The transformation of this amazing space is one for the books and we could not be more proud. It's really a testament to understanding the needs of a home and being flexible with the means in which we get there. With a fresh take on this cohesive home, the new calm color scheme only provides even more opportunities to add in an abundance of character and subtle surprises. Let's take a look..
BEFORE
Kitchen
To ensure that we gave our client a space that worked for them, we enlarged the kitchen by relocating the backyard access and wrapping our cabinets around a 9' island. We added a new corner pantry behind a beautifully warm-stained door that matches our stairs and went bold with a deep blue color on the island.
KCID Insider: One of our favorite details to work on is cabinetry and millwork! We designed a shaker door with a mitered angled inlay and our client loved the unique detail made just for them.
Family Room + Breakfast Nook
This family room is home to plenty of natural light, with a new sliding door, a marble fireplace and a media built in that houses beverages and TV components. What could be better than that? To make all of these spaces meld together perfectly, we incorporated custom upholstery throughout - it's how all of our pieces fit the room (and the family!) so perfectly. New double barn doors separate the cutest play room that will be featured in the kid's tour soon.
Tell us about your favorite part of these rooms below in the comments. We can't wait to hear. Our next stop is the Laundry and Mudroom and we've got so much to share about how we made those functional spaces some of the most well-used rooms in the house. Until then!
