Cadence Park

After moving from big city to big city, our clients decided to settle down close to family, but weren’t quite ready to give up the urban style they were used to for a builder-grade house. By enclosing a covered patio, we added 200 square feet of living space - enough to accommodate a proper dining room, expansive kitchen, and decked-out walk-in pantry, complete with coffee machine, beverage fridge, and prep sink. Paneled appliances allow the white oak cabinetry to be the star of the show, while a large-veined quartz countertop and backsplash gives the space movement and life. Off-centering the sink allowed us to accommodate plenty of island prep space for these frequent hosts, and we balanced the asymmetry with a cluster of gorgeous pendant lights. In the dining room, a washable rug grounds the vintage dining table. Custom upholstered chairs surround the table, along with a bench for additional seating. On the back wall, additional storage is included by way of a floating console that doubles as a serving buffet or a desk space. Fun, functional, and full of flavor, this home speaks to where our clients have been, and where they are now.
